About the Author
Randy Steinman has spent close to 30 years in radio and television, as an announcer, host and sportscaster. A familiar story-teller to listeners and viewers in southwestern Ontario and southeast Michigan, he has covered major sports events on both sides of the border.
Steinman is Sports Director of CTV Southwestern Ontario, having first joined the regional network affiliate in 1989. His move to television followed a six-year stint as a NewsRadio sportscaster, during which time he was a contributor to "Insiders Say" in The Sporting News.
Steinman has been heard as a reporter, analyst or guest on some of the Detroit-area's great radio stations like CFCO, CKLW, WWJ and WJR. During the 1980's he covered the Red Wings, Tigers, Pistons and Lions for the NewsRadio Network in both Canada and the U.S.
Since 2004, he has been an Administrator for MediaLine in Pacific Grove, California, recognized by broadcast media across the U.S. as the premier resource for television news employment. He mentors news, sports and weather broadcasters throughout the U.S., and is recognized for his ability to evaluate on-air talent.
He is a member of the Preston High School Hall of Fame in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.
